The Brass Well grants wishes. Everyone knows that. But the trick is, you never get your own wish. Toss in a coin, and a wish comes true. It just wasn’t yours. Maybe you can read Latin now. Maybe geese can talk. Maybe Tuesdays only happen every other week. No one knows why the well was created. No one knows if it’s even working as intended. Maybe it’s broken. Maybe everyone was just supposed to wish for water. It would almost be a normal well then. And yet, the town keeps tossing coins and wishing, hoping, waiting, wondering: Who the heck wished for this?
